Every year, the otherwise closed and in any case hidden Gothic gem, the Ursula Chapel in Krems, is host to the Am Sound Music Festival organised by Martin Gut und Günter Gessert. This year, the secondary location is Café El Trés. In the Ursula Chapel a larger scale relief by Alexander Curtis will be be presented (shown below) whilst in El Trés there there will be an exhibition by the artist.
Both venues are less than fifteen minutes walk from Krems‘ bus and railway station. As an intermezzo during the last days of the festival, the chiming of the bells in the Steiner Tor has been reprogrammed with compositions that take accout of the fact that they are off-tune, this taking the micro-tonal theme of the festival out into the public realm. For concert ticket reservations please contact: postmaster @ brennstein.at. Tickets cost €10-, except on 30.9. which is by voluntary donation.
